5 minutes. Your arts-related topic of choice. An enthusiastic audience. Aaaaand, go!

This event is your chance to talk about something you love - a musical, a novel, a band, a dance, a play, a poet, a video game, a podcast, a movie, a tv show, an actual play...the list goes on and on! After everyone has had a turn to nerd out about their favorite thing, there will be time for questions and individual chats.

Interested in finding out more about stuff people love, but not sure if you're up for sharing yourself? No worries - listeners are very welcome!

To keep things a little more fun and casual, we'll be meeting up in our "Kumospace" office. It's a simple, intuitive videochat app that's a little more like a Sims version of "real life" and a little less like, well, boxes and breakout rooms.

Creative Sparks

Want to start a project but aren't sure what you want it to be about? In the middle of something and feeling frozen? Just want to stretch your creative muscles a little? That's what Creative Sparks nights are for. Prompts, activities, and general silliness will be ready and waiting to get your creative juices flowing while you hang out with potential collaborators and friends!

Game nights are a great way to connect and to remember how much fun it can be to simply play! Of course, games are better when you've got great people to play with, which is where we come in!

Looking for a chance to sing your heart out to your favorite songs in a place that isn't a bar and is a completely judgement free space? We're here for you!

Want to play a little D&D but don't have time for a full campaign? Never played before, but find yourself D&D curious? Here's your chance to enjoy some story-telling and make-believe!

Book Club

A classic for a reason: A chance to read something interesting and then get to talk about it! This version comes with a perk: no need to commit to a regular monthly meeting.

For the theatre kids among us, it can be a bummer not having people to dig into plays with once you've left school, so here's your chance: A book club, but specifically for reading scripts.

Sometimes it's just really fun to tell people about something you love and get to hear about what other people are into at the same time. Here's your chance - 5 minutes to tell an enthusiastic audience about a creative topic of your choice, then time to chat with everyone after!

Looking for a no-pressure, no-judgment chance to share whatever you've been working on in voice lessons, coaching, or on your own? Here's your outlet! Everyone who wants a chance to perform will get one, along with an enthusiastic and supportive "audience" of other performers there to cheer them on!

If you've ever heard of "Plays in a Day" or 24-Hour Play Festivals, this is our abbreviated version. Over the course of an hour participants will write and perform a reading of a scene (or a very, very, very short play if that's your jam!) Some will write, some will perform, some will direct, all will audience, and fun will be had!

Especially - but not only - for the neurospicy among us, it can be hard to get things done by ourselves. So these gatherings are a space to come work on whatever you want alongside others doing the same thing. If you want a break, there's folks to chat with; if you want support with what you're working on, we're there to help!
